Privacy policy

esp32flight (the device firmware and the Android application „esp32flight”, package pl.theqkash.esp32flight). Effective: 27 July 2026.

The short version

esp32flight collects no personal data, requires no account, contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking of any kind. There is no server of ours behind it - the app talks directly from your device to public data services.

What the app processes, and where

Third-party services

To do its job the app makes direct requests to: airplanes.live, adsb.lol, adsb.fi (aircraft positions), adsbdb.com, hexdb.io (routes and aircraft data), CARTO / OpenStreetMap (map tiles), RainViewer (precipitation), Open-Meteo (weather and geocoding), aviationweather.gov (METAR/TAF), planespotters.net (aircraft photos), wheretheiss.at (ISS position), SondeHub (radiosondes), ip-api.com (coarse IP geolocation), GitHub (airline logos, update check), and - only if you enable them with your own keys - FlightAware, aisstream.io and openAIP. Each of these services sees the standard technical data of any internet request (your IP address, the query) and handles it under its own privacy policy. The author receives none of it.

Permissions (Android)

The app requests only INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. It does not access your device's GPS, contacts, storage, camera or anything else.

Children

The app is not directed at children and processes no personal data of any user.
